Match these switches, then download

Three switches to Off. Restart. Then download. Same idea as turning Wi-Fi off.

AceMaker needs Memory integrity, Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection, and Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist turned Off. Match the screen below — each marked switch should say Off. If Windows shows a yellow warning, click Dismiss. That's normal.

After you open the installer, a blue Windows protected your PC window is Microsoft Defender SmartScreen — same idea as Chrome saying Keep this file. More info → Run anyway. That's normal.

    Turn the three marked switches Off

    Memory integrity, Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection, and Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist. Restart now before you install. If a switch is greyed out, this PC is managed — AceMaker will not run.

    Then download

    Install to C:\Program Files\AceMaker. UAC → Yes. Blue SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway. Then open AceMaker from the Start menu, not the Setup file in Downloads.

After you open the installer

Blue window? That's SmartScreen

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen shows Windows protected your PC for unsigned apps. Publisher will say Unknown. Click More info, then the white Run anywaybutton. Do not click Don't run.

App shows AceMaker Setup.exe, publisher Unknown — that is expected until we ship a paid Authenticode cert. Click the white Run anywaybutton. Leave the blue Don't run button alone.

After SmartScreen · finish install

Yes on UAC. Default folder. Start menu after restart.

  1. 5If Windows asks Do you want to allow this app to make changes? click Yes. That is the installer, not a second warning.
  2. 6Leave the folder as C:\Program Files\AceMaker. Do not install to Desktop or Downloads.
  3. 7If setup or Windows asks to restart, restart. Then open AceMaker from the Start menu — do not double-click the Setup file again. Stealth turns on by itself when the Hub appears.

Switch greyed out? School or work PC — AceMaker cannot run there. Need 64-bit Windows 10/11 on Intel or AMD, not ARM, not a Mac. Black Hub or capture still sees the window: you skipped the reboot after Memory integrity Off.

Restart once if asked

Restart right after Memory integrity Off. Then install. If setup asks again, restart once more, then open AceMaker from Start.

Then you're ready

Start menu → AceMaker. Hub appears on its own; stealth is already on. Sign in, snap a question.
