1. Product Purpose

AceMaker AI ("the Application") is designed as a study aid and academic productivity tool. Its features — including AI-assisted problem solving, writing coaching, GPA tracking, and reading digestion — are intended to help students learn more effectively, organize their coursework, and improve their academic performance.

The Application is not intended for use during proctored examinations or in any environment where its use would violate the rules, policies, or regulations of an educational institution, certification body, or testing organization.

2. Prohibited Use Environments

The Application must not be used during proctored examinations or in any environment where doing so would violate the rules of an educational institution, certification body, or testing organization. This includes, but is not limited to, exams administered through:

This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. The Application should not be used during any monitored assessment, regardless of whether the specific software is listed above.

2.1 Prohibited High-Stakes Examinations

You expressly agree NOT to use the Application for, during, or in connection with any of the following examinations or assessments, regardless of whether you believe the Application is detectable. Use in these contexts may result in criminal liability, civil claims, or termination of your account:

Chinese National Examinations (中华人民共和国国家教育考试)

  • • 普通高等学校招生全国统一考试 (Gaokao)
  • • 全国硕士研究生统一招生考试 (Postgraduate Entrance)
  • • 全国大学英语四六级考试 (CET-4 / CET-6)
  • • 国家司法考试 (Judicial Exam)
  • • 国家公务员考试 (Civil Servant Exam)
  • • 任何由教育部考试中心或省级招办主办的考试

ETS-Administered Exams (where AI tools are forbidden)

  • • TOEFL iBT / TOEFL Essentials
  • • GRE General & Subject Tests
  • • SAT (College Board / ETS)
  • • Praxis Series

Pearson VUE-Administered Exams (where AI tools are forbidden)

  • • GMAT
  • • PMP / CISSP / Cisco / Microsoft / AWS certifications
  • • NCLEX (nursing licensure)
  • • Any Pearson OnVUE / Pearson Professional Center exam

General Prohibition

Any examination, certification, licensure test, or admissions assessment whose published rules prohibit the use of unauthorized aids, AI tools, or external software.

The Application does not enforce these prohibitions automatically. Compliance is solely the user's responsibility. By using the Application you represent that you have read this section and accept the legal consequences of violating it.

3. User Responsibility

By using the Application, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Application complies with your institution's academic integrity policies, honor code, and examination rules.
  • You will not use the Application during any proctored examination, test, or assessment where such use is prohibited.
  • You understand that the Application's stealth and privacy features are designed to protect your personal workflow privacy, not to circumvent institutional monitoring during examinations.
  • AceMaker AI is not responsible for any academic disciplinary actions, grade penalties, or other consequences resulting from misuse of the Application.

4. Privacy & Data

The Application processes your academic data (course information, grades, study materials) locally on your device and through secure cloud services. AI queries are routed through encrypted proxy infrastructure. We do not sell, share, or expose your academic data to third parties.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy of AI-generated answers, GPA calculations, or any other output. Users should independently verify all information provided by the Application.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall AceMaker AI or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Application, including but not limited to academic penalties, loss of enrollment, or disciplinary actions.

Fair Use Policy

AceMaker AI is sold on a credit-based pay-as-you-go model. There is no monthly query cap on any plan, but the following Fair Use rules apply to keep the service stable for everyone and to detect automated abuse.

F.1 Personal use only

Credits are tied to a single human user account. Sharing a single account between multiple people, reselling credits, or providing AceMaker output to third parties for commercial gain is not permitted.

F.2 Soft daily ceilings

To protect against runaway scripts, accidental loops, and shared-account abuse, the following soft ceilings apply per 24-hour rolling window. They do notrepresent a quota — credits roll over indefinitely — but exceeding them triggers additional verification.

  • Solver / Learn / Deep modes: up to 300 problems per day per account.
  • Same-Day Mastery variants: up to 5 per day per account (hard cap, never billed).
  • Feynman voice scoring: up to 5 evaluations per day per account (hard cap, never billed).
  • Career and Cross-Course AI insights: cached 24 hours; first request per day only.
  • Concept-to-Application bridges: cached 24 hours per concept.

F.3 Smart routing & cost protection

Free-tier accounts are served exclusively by lower-cost models (Gemini Flash, Gemma, GPT-5 Nano). Paid accounts default to smart routing, which selects the cheapest capable model for each task. Forcing a high-cost model for tasks that do not require one (e.g. arithmetic check on Claude Opus) is considered abuse and may have credits recosted at the appropriate rate.

F.4 Refunds on unused credits

Unused credits are refundable on request within 60 days of purchase. Credits consumed by completed AI calls are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds for active subscriptions follow the standard EU/US consumer-protection windows.

F.5 No pricing surprises

Per-call credit costs are listed on the pricing page. We commit to publishing any cost change at least 14 days before it takes effect, and to honoring the previous pricing for already-purchased credit balances.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
